Informational Reference on the Draft Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and Other Legislative Acts of Ukraine on International Cooperation in Criminal Proceedings” (No. 14292 dated 11 December 2025)

The informational reference analyzes the proposed changes introduced by the draft law to the procedure for criminal proceedings in the field of international cooperation. These changes concern the application of international treaties, in particular those relating to extradition and transfer of convicted persons, as well as the introduction of the possibility of using electronic communications when submitting requests for international legal assistance and extradition of offenders in cases where this is provided for by an international treaty or by agreements between the authorized (central) bodies of the requesting and requested parties. The reference also identifies certain risks that may hinder the effective implementation of the draft law during law enforcement activities.
