Analytical Note on Comparative Law Regarding Natural Burial and the Scattering of Ashes of Deceased Persons

The analytical note examines the legal regulation of burial practices in selected Member States of the European Union (Poland, Croatia, Lithuania, Estonia, and Sweden), as well as the United States. It clarifies the legal possibility of conducting burials through natural burial and cremation. The procedures governing the scattering of the ashes of deceased persons are also analysed.
