Approximation of Ukrainian legislation to EU law: theoretical and practical aspects

On October 20-24, 2025, the Research Service held a training course under the general short-term professional development program “Approximation of Ukrainian legislation to EU law: theoretical and practical aspects” for members of the Ukrainian Parliament, employees of the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, assistants and advisors to Ukrainian MPs, as well as, on a contractual basis, representatives of state authorities, local self-government bodies, other legal entities and individuals.
The educational event is aimed at providing participants with professional training on: the legal nature of the EU as a supranational intergovernmental integration association, its competences and organizational mechanism; the system of sources of law and the content of the EU acquis; law-making procedures applied in the EU and the specifics of legal technique; the process of implementing the EU acquis into national legal systems; legal regulation of European integration measures in Ukraine; the methodology for preparing and reviewing draft laws aimed at adapting Ukrainian legislation to the EU acquis; and the development of practical skills in analyzing draft laws for compliance with EU law.
