From 4 to 7 December 2023, the Research Service, in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross, is holding the training under the general short-term advanced training program "Actual Issues of International Humanitarian Law" for employees of the Apparatus of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, MPs, and their assistants.

The purpose of the educational event is to increase the level of professional competence in international humanitarian law and improve the skills to apply the norms of international humanitarian law to the formation and implementation of public policy.

The Head of the ICRC Delegation to Ukraine Jürg Eglin addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. The training under the program is conducted by representatives of the ICRC Delegation in Ukraine and higher education institutions whose scientific and professional interests relate to the application and implementation of international humanitarian law in Ukraine.
