On October 2, the delegation of the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, within the framework of the study visit to partner organizations of the Italian Republic, held a meeting with the leadership of the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence, during which they discussed the possibility of involving the educational institution’s representatives in conducting trainings of the Research Service on the harmonization of national legislation to the EU acquis.

On October 3, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Department of Law of the University of Genoa, which provides for the establishment of cooperation in areas of mutual interest, the organization of joint activities related to the creation of educational and scientific programs, internships, etc.

On the occasion of the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, a round table "Legislative Drafting and the Rule of Law. Constitutional Challenges and Opportunities for Ukraine on the EU Accession Process” was held at the University of Genoa with the participation of the Research Service’s representatives.
