Deepening cooperation with Lithuanian partners

On November 13, 2024, as part of expanding inter-institutional cooperation with Lithuanian partners, a delegation of the Research Unit of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania led by its head Alvidas Lukošaitis visited the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
During the visit, representatives of the Lithuanian Research Unit had the opportunity to get acquainted with the activities of Ukrainian colleagues, present the methods and results of their work, and share their experience in building relationships with legislators in the context of analytical developments. The Research Unit of the Seimas confirmed its readiness to continue organizing joint trainings with the Verkhovna Rada Research Service on studying the experience of harmonizing national legislation with the EU acquis.
On November 14, representatives of the Verkhovna Rada Research Service, together with Lithuanian colleagues, also took part in a workshop on the topic " Parliamentary Foresight in Action: Strengthening Democracy in Challenging Times", the purpose of which was to study the use of parliamentary foresight to support democracy in Ukraine amid new challenges.
The visit of the delegation of the Research Unit of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania was supported by the INTER PARES EU project to strengthen the capacity of parliaments.
