Webinar "Ukraine’s Path towards EU Accession I: History of the EU enlargement" in cooperation with the Institute for the Danube Region and Central Europe

On November 25, 2024, within the framework of cooperation between the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Institute for the Danube Region and Central Europe (Republic of Austria), a webinar on the topic "Ukraine's Path towards EU Accession I: History of EU enlargement " was held.

The lecturer was Sebastian Schaffer, Director of the Institute for the Danube Region and Central Europe. During the event, the stages of EU enlargement, and the basic principles and mechanisms of new member states’ accession were highlighted. In particular, the participants discussed the economic, political, and legal aspects of the EU enlargement, as well as the challenges faced by countries seeking to become part of the European Community.

Simultaneous translation of the webinar was provided with the support of the Association4U project which made the event available to a wide range of participants.
