Information reference on the procedures for granting state aid in the EU: General Block Exemptions (GBER) (negotiating chapter 8: Competition policy)

Abstract. This reference highlights the key aspects of the EU state aid procedures and Regulation (EC) No 994/98 of 7 May 1998, which is an important mechanism for simplifying state aid procedures by defining general block exemptions (GBERs). The article describes the main provisions of the act and the latest amendments to it.
