Abstract. This reference analyses the legal basis and main acts of European Union energy law, the strategic objectives and instruments for implementing EU energy policy, and the status of implementation of the relevant acquis in Ukrainian legislation, taking into account the obligations under the Association Agreement and within the Ukraine Facility.
