Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Participates in an International

From 9 to 11 March 2026, the First Deputy Head of the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ivan Myshchak, and the Head of the Foresight Sector Tetiana Druzhchenko, participated in the international academic seminar “Welcome Back” at the invitation of Professor Piotr Bajor, Dean of the Faculty of International and Political Studies of the Jagiellonian University. The seminar was organised within the framework of the Jagiellonian University International Center (JUiCe) project in Kraków, Republic of Poland.
The seminar programme included a series of thematic panels and expert discussions dedicated to key challenges facing the modern world. In particular, participants discussed issues related to the return of Ukrainian refugees, prospects for Ukraine’s accession to the European Union, the role of historical memory in international relations, as well as European cultural policy and international security.
During the seminar, representatives of the Research Service delivered a presentation entitled “Activities of the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine: European Integration Track”. The presentation highlighted the main areas of the Research Service’s work, including its role in providing informational and analytical support to the legislative process and in analysing and facilitating the adaptation of Ukrainian legislation to the EU acquis in the context of Ukraine’s European integration.
The representatives of the Research Service also answered numerous questions from participants and took part in panel discussions.
As part of the visit to the Jagiellonian University, Ivan Myshchak and Tetiana Druzhchenko held working meetings with the administration and academic staff of the Institute of European Studies and the Centre for Polish-Ukrainian Studies of the Faculty of International and Political Studies. During these meetings, the participants discussed promising areas of cooperation, including the exchange of research results and the organisation of webinars for Members of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and staff of the Verkhovna Rada Secretariat.
