A working-level online meeting was held between the leadership of the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and representatives of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE/ODIHR) to discuss priority areas for further cooperation in capacity-building, analytical support for the legislative process, and the institutional development of the Research Service.

Particular attention was devoted to strengthening the professional competencies of the staff of the Research Service, the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and parliamentary assistants to Members of Parliament, as well as to expanding expert support in the fields of democratic governance, law-making, and parliamentary affairs.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening the partnership to enhance the institutional capacity of the Research Service and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine through the adoption of international best practices.
