Lesia Vaolevska, Head of the Research Service, participated in a meeting of the Steering Committee of Phase II of the Council of Europe project “HELP (Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals) for Ukraine, Including During the War,” which aims to strengthen the capacity of Ukrainian legal professionals to effectively apply European standards of justice.

In her remarks, she emphasised that, amid the intensive screening process and the alignment of legislation with EU standards, this educational platform has significant potential for the professional development of members of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, parliamentary assistants, and employees of the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

The Research Service expressed its readiness to integrate the training courses offered by the HELP Project into professional development programmes designed specifically for a parliamentary audience. It also sees considerable potential for the creation of joint educational products.
