Maksym Hrebeniuk, Chief Research Consultant of the Department of National Security and Law Enforcement, and Artur Hrynevych, Chief Consultant of the Department of Humanitarian and Social Policy, took part in the seminar “New Trends in Parliamentary Oversight”, organised by the European Centre for Parliamentary Research and Documentation (ECPRD) and held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, on 24–25 September 2026.
The seminar provided a professional platform for exchanging experience on modern approaches to strengthening parliamentary oversight. Participants discussed current trends and tools in this area, including monitoring the implementation of legislation, assessing its effectiveness, and strengthening the institutional capacity of the relevant bodies. Particular attention was given to national models of parliamentary oversight in EU Member States, as well as to the experience of EU candidate countries.
The knowledge and professional experience gained during the seminar will contribute to further improving the information and analytical support provided to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and may also be applied in the process of aligning national legislation with European Union law and standards.
The Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expresses its sincere gratitude to the European Centre for Parliamentary Research and Documentation and the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the opportunity to participate in the seminar, for the high professional standard of its organisation, for their support and solidarity with Ukraine, and for creating a constructive and welcoming environment for professional dialogue and the exchange of experience and good practices.
