Abstract. This parliamentary study provides a retrospective overview of the legislative regulation of volunteering in Ukraine. It examines legislative approaches to defining the terms ‘humanitarian organisation’, ‘civil society organisation’ and ‘volunteer’.
The study highlights key trends in the development of Ukrainian legislation on volunteering as an area of activity for civil society organisations in the field of humanitarian response. It also analyses problematic aspects related to the activities of public associations, in particular public organisations, humanitarian organisations and volunteers, that require further legislative regulation.

Abstract. The study analyses the common and distinctive features in the legal regulation of gender equality standards and the conduct of gender expertise in the acts of the European Union and its Member States. It examines the standards for ensuring gender equality within the European Union, conceptual approaches to enshrining gender equality standards in the legislation of EU Member States, as well as institutional mechanisms and the specific features of gender expertise applied to regulatory and legal acts in EU Member States.

Abstract. The parliamentary study presents the results of an analysis of the provisions set out in the draft Labour Code of Ukraine (No. 14386 dated 15 January 2026). Particular attention is given to the conceptual foundations of labour law doctrine and their influence on the structure of the proposed codified act. The purpose and principal objectives of the future Code are examined. A comparative analysis of the norms governing the core institutions of labour law is undertaken in order to assess their compliance with international and, in particular, European standards. The study also considers foreign experience in regulating non-standard forms of organising hired labour and social dialogue. Finally, the advantages and potential vulnerabilities of the principles of legal regulation of labour relations proposed in the draft are identified.

Abstract. This parliamentary study analyzes the content of the new Law of Ukraine “On Public-Private Partnership” intending to find ways to make the best use of it in the humanitarian and information spheres. It examines the experience of European countries in applying public-private partnerships and provides recommendations for improving Ukrainian legislation.

Abstract. The study analyses the volumes and current trends of the Ukrainian and foreign book publishing markets, changes in legislation to stimulate the development of book publishing in Ukraine, as well as the legislation of individual European Union member states. Based on the results of the analysis, proposals are made to improve the legal regulation of book publishing in Ukraine.

Abstract. The parliamentary study contains the outcomes of legal monitoring of the Law of Ukraine “On Social and Legal Protection of Persons in Respect of Whom the Fact of Personal Liberty Deprivation as a Result of Armed Aggression against Ukraine has Been Established, and of Their Family Members”. A legal assessment of the compliance and timeliness of the subordinate normative legal acts adoption to implement its provisions has been carried out. Conclusions have been drawn regarding the effectiveness of the regulatory impact of the relevant legislative norms on relations in establishing the fact of a person’s personal liberty deprivation as a result of armed aggression against Ukraine, as well as the exercise of the rights of the specified category of persons on the basis of quantitative and qualitative indicators obtained from available sources.

Abstract. The article presents the results of the analysis of the essence and content of Regulation (EU) 2024/1083 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 April 2024 establishing a common framework for media services in the internal market and amending Directive 2010/13/EU (European Media Freedom Act) as a unified EU legislative act in the field of media regulation. The author analyses the prerequisites for the adoption of the document, its main provisions and potential impact on the development of legislative support for the media industry in Ukraine.
