Abstract. International legal and domestic principles of volunteering as a form of charitable activities have been studied. Attention was focused on the expediency of introducing a mechanism to ensure legal guarantees for the performance of volunteer duties. Based on the analysis of the legislative regulation of criminal responsibility for the illegal use of humanitarian aid, charitable donations or non-refundable financial assistance with respective illicit profit, directions for improving the legal regulation of social relations protection in the field of use of humanitarian aid have been summarized.

Abstract. Research of foreign experience of the mass media functioning legislative regulation in the member states of the European Union acquires particular importance in the context of the incorporation of the provisions of the Audiovisual Media Services Directive 2010/13/EU into national legislation. Particular attention was paid to the articles on the regulation of the procedure for publishing information about the beneficial owners of media entities, ensuring consumer protection, defining the foundations of the state policy on media literacy, ensuring the right of reply and right to refute, regulating formation and activities of the Regulator in the field of media, normalizing the use of the state language, languages of national minorities and other languages in the media.
