Abstract. The informational reference contains an analysis of the proposed amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges" and the Law of Ukraine "On the High Council of Justice" regarding the expansion of restrictions for candidates for the position of judge, and also assesses the compliance of the draft law with Ukraine’s international legal obligations in the field of European integration.
