The review dossier presents an analysis of the legislation of the Member States of the European Union and the United States concerning the involvement of juries in the adjudication of court cases related to family and marital relations, the protection of children’s rights, child adoption, and the termination of parental rights. It examines legislative regulation in selected U.S. states, relevant judicial precedents, as well as the legal frameworks of the Member States of the European Union governing institutions analogous to the jury system.
