Informational Reference on Integrated State Border Management in the Context of the Draft Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to Some Laws of Ukraine on Improving Legislation in the Field of State Border Protection of Ukraine” (No. 15118 dated 31 March 2026)

Abstract. The informational reference examines the issue of improving legislation in the field of border security, simplifying border and customs procedures, and implementing recommendations provided by the European Union within the framework of the project “EU Support for Strengthening Integrated Border Management in Ukraine” (EU4IBM). It also addresses the implementation of the EU acquis and the alignment of border control procedures in Ukraine with EU standards in the context of the Draft Law of Ukraine (No. 15118 dated 31 March 2026).

The compliance of the proposed amendments with the current legislation of Ukraine, in particular in the field of state border protection, as well as with the requirements of legislative drafting techniques, was analysed, and their potential risks were identified.
