On February 3, 2025, the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine hosted a webinar focused on modern approaches to transfer pricing regulation, its impact on international business, and tax policy. The event brought together leading experts, analysts, and lawmakers working to enhance Ukraine’s fiscal regulation in line with international standards.

The keynote speaker was Dr. Raffaele Petruzzi, Managing Director of the WU Transfer Pricing Center at Vienna University of Economics and Business and CEO of PETRUZZI Advisory. A distinguished expert in international taxation, Dr. Petruzzi provided an in-depth analysis of contemporary transfer pricing approaches, examined its key aspects, and shared practical case studies illustrating global best practices.

Participants discussed the significance of transfer pricing for the global economy and business, as well as its impact on corporate competitiveness in an international environment. Special attention was given to the arm’s length principle and its application across different jurisdictions. Dr. Petruzzi provided a detailed overview of effective transfer pricing regulations in EU member states, highlighting practical experiences that could be valuable for Ukraine.

The webinar also addressed the role of BEPS initiatives and international standards in shaping tax policy, their impact on combating tax avoidance, and preventing aggressive tax planning.

With the speaker’s high level of expertise, rich content, and active audience engagement, the webinar served as a valuable platform for professional discussions and knowledge exchange. We hope that the insights gained will contribute to the further improvement of tax regulation in Ukraine in line with best international practices.
