On
May 13, 2026, the Research Service conducted a training session as part of
a special short-term professional development program titled “Foresight as a
Priority-Setting Tool for the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine” for members of the
Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, staff of the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada of
Ukraine and assistants/advisors to Ukrainian MPs, as well as representatives of
state authorities, local self-government bodies, and other legal and physical
entities (on a contractual basis).
The purpose of the training was to equip participants with knowledge of the
theoretical foundations of foresight and its application specifics in
the activities of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, as well as the skills and
abilities to apply methods and tools of strategic forecasting and planning.
The training was conducted by Dmytro Starodub, Ph.D. in Law, Associate
Professor, and Chief Scientific Consultant of the Foresight Sector within the
Department of Economic Development and Financial Policy of the Research Service
of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
