Within the framework of inter-institutional cooperation, an online meeting of the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Parliamentary Institute of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia was held.

Representatives of the institutions shared their experience on the mechanisms for the development of research services, the directions and principles of their functioning, the preparation of materials on request and on their initiative, the organization of work to support the activities of MPs and parliamentary committees, the development of methodological approaches used by parliamentary research services to conduct research, as well as the principles of organizing professional training for MPs and parliamentary secretariats’ employees.

"As a newly established institution that emerged in August 2022 by the Decree of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, we greatly appreciate the opportunity to exchange views with our partners abroad. Therefore, we hope that the best practices of the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Parliamentary Institute of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia will form the basis for the further successful work of both institutions in ensuring the effective functioning of our national parliaments," Lesia Vaolevska, Head of the Research Service underlined following the meeting.
