Abstract. The analytical note examines the principles of legislative regulation of the use of assisted reproductive technologies in the USA, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Spain, China and Japan. Case law is analyzed regarding permitted and prohibited practices in the field of reproductive medicine and the recognition of the legal status of children born under surrogacy programs, including cross-border ones. The focus is on the ethical standards of artificial insemination.

Abstract. This analytical note presents the results of an analysis of European Union legislation regarding geographical indications of craft and industrial products. The genesis of a unified system for the protection of geographical indications in European countries is examined. An overview of European Union legislation on the introduction of a two-stage process for registering intellectual property rights for handicraft and industrial products and the powers of national authorities to control the specifications and marketing of these products is provided. The focus is on the consistency of Ukrainian legislation on folk arts and crafts with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2023/2411 on the protection of geographical indications for craft and industrial products and amendments to Regulations (EU) 2017/1001 and (EU) 2019/1753.

Abstract. The Analytical Note presents the results of an analysis of national legislation on employment guarantees for war veterans, as well as veteran policy measures aimed at their implementation. Attention is paid to special measures to support employment that are widespread in global practice, such as quotas, workplace adaptation and specialised programmes aimed at increasing the participation of vulnerable groups in the workforce in the state economy. The conceptual aspects of state policies to promote the employment of demobilised military personnel/war veterans in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom are highlighted.

Abstract. The analytical note presents the results of the analysis of the US federal legislation on remuneration of public executive officials. It focuses on the main aspects of the General Schedule and the Executive Schedule, classification of civil servants' positions, the procedure for appointment and remuneration of civil servants. The author examines the powers of the President of the United States to form the personnel of the senior level of the federal civil service, including political appointments to senior positions in the state executive bodies.

Abstract. The policy paper presents the results of the analysis of the legislation on remuneration of pedagogical staff providing complete general secondary education in Ukraine, the Baltic States, Poland, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States. Attention is focused on the procedure for calculating salaries based on the weekly teaching load. The procedure for calculating allowances and special payments, in particular for performing additional functions, overtime and temporary replacement hours, working conditions, and length of service, is also mentioned.

Abstract. The policy brief contains the results of a comparative study of surrogacy legislation in the EU Member States and the United States. The author points out the conceptual differences in approaches to the regulation of relations related to the use of reproductive technologies - surrogacy. The author examines the peculiarities of legislative support for the surrogacy process in accordance with the laws and regulations of Greece, Ireland, Cyprus, Portugal, and the States of Washington and Oklahoma (USA). Attention is paid to the contractual relations regarding surrogacy, the rights and obligations of intended parents and surrogate mother, and measures of state control over the surrogacy process.

Abstract. The analytical note presents the results of a comparative analysis of the provisions of Directive 2014/60/EU and the Law of Ukraine ‘On the Export, Import and Return of Cultural Property’ of 21.09.1999 No. 1068-XIV in the context of the need to approximate Ukrainian legislation to the EU acquis, and provides general proposals for the implementation of the provisions of the said EU acquis into national legislation.
