Abstract. Abstract. The informational reference deals with the issues of adaptation of Ukrainian labor legislation to European standards. Certain aspects of scholarly and theoretical research of adaptation of national legislation to European legislation have been indicated. The areas of shared competence of the EU and the member states in respect of which the EU uses ordinary legislative procedure have been studied. The degree of Ukraine’s preparation for harmonizing labor legislation with the EU acquis has been determined.
