Abstract.  The informational reference analyses the expediency of improving the procedure for calculating limitation periods for criminal liability, in particular by introducing additional grounds for suspending the running of such limitation periods, in the context of Draft Law of Ukraine No. 15354 dated 26 June 2026.

The study analyses the compliance of the Draft Law with the fundamental principles of legislative drafting, the provisions of the current Criminal Code of Ukraine, and Ukraine’s international obligations.

Abstract. The informational reference examines the legal grounds for improving the procedure for the appointment and dismissal of the Prosecutor General in the context of Draft Law of Ukraine No. 15343 dated 22 June 2026.

The study analyses the compliance of the Draft Law with the Constitution of Ukraine, the fundamental principles of legislative drafting, and the current legislation governing the organisation and functioning of the Prosecutor’s Office, in particular the appointment and dismissal of the Prosecutor General.

The study identifies risks that may hinder the proper implementation of the Draft Law in law enforcement practice and the achievement of its declared objective of bringing the legislation of Ukraine on the Prosecutor’s Office into conformity with the Constitution of Ukraine and with international and European legal standards in this field.
