Abstract. The Information reference highlights the mechanisms of engaging citizens in parliamentary activities, using the example of the European Parliament. The list of tools (channels) of effective communication between parliament and citizens used in the European Union (EU) and its member states is provided. Abstract: The Briefing Paper presents the results of the analysis of the legislation of the G-7 countries (Canada, the USA, the UK, France, Italy, Germany, Japan) on access of media representatives to parliamentary buildings. The paper highlights the peculiarities of regulating the procedure of accreditation of journalists, their admission to the parliament building, attendance at parliamentary meetings and other events, as well as restrictions on such access.

Abstract. The informational note contains the results of a comparative study of the functioning of parliamentary budget offices in the EU member states. Based on the practice of the EU member states and taking into account the current needs of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the authors propose models for the establishment of a similar institution in Ukraine.

Abstract. This informational note examines the foreign experience of establishing and functioning of lawmaking entities. The main tasks of parliamentary rulemaking offices are outlined (on the example of the European Parliament, the Sejm and the Senate of the Republic of Poland, the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, the US House of Representatives and the Senate, the House of Commons and the Senate of Canada). Based on the results of the research, the proposals for the establishment of a Parliamentary Lawmaking Office in Ukraine provides, in particular: the mission and purpose of the Parliamentary Lawmaking Office are defined; the main tasks of the Parliamentary Lawmaking Office are formulated. The three models of the organisational and legal form of the Parliamentary Lawmaking Office were proposed: 1) created within the structure of the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine; 2) created within the framework of international technical assistance; 3) created as a separate legal entity (state organization, agency).

Abstract. The Information note describes the experience of foreign countries in applying grades in the system of remuneration of civil servants based on the analysis of responses to the ECPRD. The peculiarities of applying the grading method for organizing the salaries of civil servants of parliaments and the main factors of position evaluation are noted. Attention is focused on the procedure for regulating the remuneration of parliamentary officials.
