Abstract. The Budget Process Guide was prepared to provide newly elected MPs of Ukraine and their assistant consultants, employees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with an overview of the budget process. It focuses on the powers of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in approving, amending and monitoring the implementation of the State Budget of Ukraine, and reviews the peculiarities of the budget process in the European Union and the role of member states in it.

Abstract. The Information note is devoted to the issues of improving the mechanisms for ensuring the restoration of labor and social rights of employees reinstated after illegal dismissal in the context of the draft Law of Ukraine «On amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine on establishing the continuity of insurance period of a person reinstated in work after illegal dismissal» (Reg. No. 11488-1 of 04.09.2024).

Abstract. The Information note describes the experience of foreign countries in applying grades in the system of remuneration of civil servants based on the analysis of responses to the ECPRD. The peculiarities of applying the grading method for organizing the salaries of civil servants of parliaments and the main factors of position evaluation are noted. Attention is focused on the procedure for regulating the remuneration of parliamentary officials.

Abstract. The Review dossier is devoted to the analysis of the organizational and legal framework for staffing the public service in foreign countries. Attention is focused on the methods of determining the sufficient number of civil servants to ensure the effective functioning of public authorities. Abstract. The Information note provides an analysis of the provisions of Ukrainian pension legislation on payment of an unreceived pension, as well as the provisions of civil legislation on the inheritance of such a pension. Attention is focused on certain provisions of the procedure for its payment. Proposals for improving the legislative regulation of payment of an unreceived pension are considered.

Abstract. The Information reference analyzes the provisions of the draft Law of Ukraine «On amendments to the Criminal and Criminal Procedure Codes of Ukraine in connection with the ratification of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court and its amendments» (Reg. No. 11484-1, dated 27.08.2024). The compliance of the draft law with the requirements of the Constitution of Ukraine, the principles of law-making activity, the norms of the current criminal and criminal procedural legislation, and other laws of Ukraine regarding ensuring the inevitability of criminal prosecution for international crimes is considered.
Certain risks have been singled out, which in the future may hinder the proper implementation of the draft law during law enforcement activities.

Abstract. The Information note presents the results of the analysis of Ukrainian legislation on pension provision, in particular in the part of pension granting (recalculation). Attention is focused on certain provisions of court decisions on the procedure for granting (recalculating) pensions. Proposals for improving the legislative regulation of the procedure for applying for the appointment (recalculation) of pensions are considered.

Abstract. The Analytical note presents the results of the analysis of the content of program documents on the peculiarities of the implementation of the state demographic policy of European countries and the legislative support of measures to stabilize the demographic situation. An overview of the main directions, strategic principles, goals and objectives of demographic policy in Lithuania, Poland, Bulgaria, Croatia and the United Kingdom is provided. Attention is focused on the common principles of the European Union's demographic policy and program documents, the provisions of which are aimed at overcoming the demographic crisis and preventing demographic threats.
Annex 2 to the analytical note contains a list of key EU documents for addressing and managing demographic change.
