On September 26, 2023, the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in cooperation with the European Parliament organized and held a webinar for the Members of the Ukrainian Parliament «Parliamentary Ethics, Lobbying, Conflict of Interest». Michael GAHLER, Member of the European Parliament, addressed the participants of the event with opening remarks.
During the webinar Mme Elizabeth Bauer, Administrator of the Transparency Unit of the Directorate for Interinstitutional Affairs and Legislative Coordination of the Directorate-General for the Presidency of the European Parliament, delivered a report on transparency policy in the European Parliament.
The issues of participation, lobbying, and conflict of interest as challenges for the public, politics, and parliament were revealed in the report of Rainer WIELAND, Vice-President of the European Parliament and Chairman of the Working Group on Regulations.
The webinar was moderated by Lesia VAOLEVSKA, Head of the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
