As part of a study visit to the Balkan region and Southeast Europe, the delegation from the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine continued its professional exchange program at the Hellenic Parliament in Athens.

A warm and substantive meeting took place with representatives of the parliamentary administration and analytical units of the Greek Parliament. The parties discussed issues of institutional support for the legislative process, parliamentary analytics development, as well as practical aspects of adapting national legislation to the EU acquis.

Particular attention was paid to the role of research services in providing parliaments with high-quality, impartial, and timely analysis in the context of European integration processes and contemporary challenges.

The delegation from the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expressed gratitude to their Greek colleagues for the open dialogue, professional exchange of experience, and support for Ukraine on its path to European Union membership.

The visit to the Parliament of the Hellenic Republic is supported by the EU Program to Support Ukraine’s European Integration (Ukraine2EU) as part of the initiative “Strengthening the Capacity of the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to Ensure the Adaptation of National Legislation to EU Law.”
