The program of the visit to the Senate of Romania, government agencies, and diplomatic institutions included a series of substantive meetings dedicated to European integration processes, parliamentary analytics, and mechanisms for adapting legislation to the EU acquis.

During a meeting with Sorin Vlașin, President of the Committee for economy, industry, services, tourism, and entrepreneurship of the Senate of Romania, the parties discussed the role of parliamentary committees in driving reforms and providing analytical support to the legislative process.

Within the framework of the meeting with Nicolae Miroslav Petrețchi, President of the "Romania - Ukraine" Parliamentary Friendship Group, special attention was paid to developing interparliamentary dialogue, supporting Ukraine on its path to EU membership, and deepening bilateral cooperation. The discussion emphasized the crucial role of parliament in securing reforms linked to the integration agenda, adapting national legislation to the EU acquis, and exercising effective parliamentary oversight over the implementation of relevant changes.

During consultations with the Legislative General Directorate, the European Affairs Service, and the European Affairs Committee of the Senate of Romania, the Ukrainian delegation familiarized itself with the practices of legal evaluation of draft bills, monitoring the implementation of EU directives, and institutional mechanisms supporting the European integration process.

A dedicated session took place at the Ministry of Justice of Romania, focusing on the practical aspects of implementing the EU acquis, as well as mechanisms for interagency coordination during the legislative approximation process.

The delegation also met with Ihor Prokopchuk, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Romania, to discuss the development of interparliamentary cooperation and priorities for analytical support of reforms required for EU entry.

Serving as an important conclusion to a series of study visits to the region, this mission to Romania allowed for the synthesis of practical experience regarding legislative harmonization, institutional coordination, and analytical support for parliamentary activities in the context of Ukraine's EU accession process.
