On February 15, 2024, the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine held a webinar with the European Parliament for the Ukrainian MPs on the topic "The Inquiry Committees in the European Parliament: Structure and Functioning".

Serhii Kalchenko, Chair of the Committee on Rules of Procedure, Parliamentary Ethics and Organisation of Work of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, made an introductory statement as the initiator of the event.

Henrik Kjellin, Head of Unit from PEGA Inquiry Committee, delivered a report on the Structure of the European Parliament's Inquiry Committees. Domenec Ruiz Devesa, Member of the European Parliament, presented the report on the Functioning of the EP Inquiry Committees.

Marta Udina, Head of the Parliamentary Support and Capacity Building Unit of the Directorate Democracy Support of the European Parliament, made a closing statement and a proposal to strengthen cooperation between the parliamentary institutions.

The webinar was moderated by Lesia Vaolevska, Head of the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
