At the invitation of the Research Service of the Chamber of Deputies of the Italian Republic, the delegation of the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine made a study visit to the Italian Parliament from September 30 to October 2, where it held several meetings on issues related to the functioning of parliamentary research institutions, their role in the processes of parliamentary documentation and law-making.
In particular, the delegation members held meetings in the Chamber of Deputies:
with the Head of the International Relations Service, Mario Di Napoli, and the Head of the Research Service, Bernardo Polverari, on inter-parliamentary cooperation;
with the Deputy Secretary General Claudia Di Andrea and the Head of Personnel Paolo Nuvoli on the system of staff selection, training, and professional development of employees of the Parliamentary Administration;
with the Deputy Secretaries General Costantino Rizzuto Csaki and Annibale Ferrari on the process of drafting bills in the Standing Committees;
with the Head of Secretariat of the EU Policies Standing Committee Filippo Cinoglossi on tools and organization of parliamentary documentation in relations with the EU and the EU candidate countries, in particular, with Ukraine.
Also, it was held a meeting in the Senate of the Italian Republic with the Director of the Research Service Luigi Gianniti on inter-institutional cooperation issues.
The participants took part in a seminar on the preparation of documents by the Research Service of the Chamber of Deputies on the analysis of state policies’ development in the relevant sectors, the implementation of the state budget, the analysis of electoral processes, as well as the use of artificial intelligence in the preparation of parliamentary documentation.
