A study visit of the Research Service delegation headed by the Head Lesia Vaolevska to the partner institutions of Hungary, the Republic of Slovenia, and the Italian Republic began to exchange best practices and study the role of parliaments in the processes of European integration of these states.
On September 24–25, in Budapest representatives of the Research Service held several meetings, during which, among other things, they discussed the issues of inter-institutional cooperation in the context of organizing trainings of the Research Service for the Ukrainian MPs and employees of the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the adaptation of national legislation to the EU acquis. In particular, meetings were held:
– with the team of the Information Service for Deputies (Research Service) of the Office of the National Assembly of Hungary headed by Ida Kelemen where it became possible to get acquainted with the activities of the institution in the preparation of analytical materials, in the organization of information briefings, data visualization in their preparation, cooperation with international partners within the framework of the European Center for Parliamentary Research and Documentation (ECPRD);
– with the Director of the Robert Schuman Institute, Gabor Berczeli, in the context of organizing training for the law-makers and employees of the Parliamentary Secretariat on important aspects of implementing the best parliamentary practices of the EU member states and candidate states for accession to the EU on sectoral issues;
– with the head of the Institute of Legal Studies of the Hungarian Research Network Fružina Gardos-Oros and representatives of the Institute for the Study of National Minorities of the Hungarian Research Network, and Széchenyi Istvan University on issues related to the study of strengthening the role of parliament in European integration processes.
