The Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has held a special short-term training program “Criteria for the Draft Law Constitutionality ” for MPs of Ukraine, employees of the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, assistant consultants of MPs of Ukraine, as well as representatives of state authorities, local self-government bodies and other legal entities and individuals (on a contractual basis).

The training is aimed at increasing the level of professional competence of the training participants on lawmaking modernization for compliance of draft laws and other regulatory acts with the Constitution of Ukraine and further legislative and lawmaking activities modernization, in particular in the context of adaptation of Ukrainian legislation to the EU legislation, formation of systemic knowledge, development of the ability to solve complex tasks related to lawmaking activities improvement.

The studies were conducted by Iryna Kuyan, Doctor of Legal Sciences, senior researcher, Chief Scientific Consultant of the Sector of Organization of State Authority and Local Self-Government of the Department of Legal Policy and Organization of Public Authority of the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
