The Research Service held a training session as part of a special short-term professional development programme entitled “Artificial Intelligence, Metaverse, and Immersive Technologies: Legal, Technical, and Social Aspects” for employees of the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, members of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and their assistant consultunts, as well as representatives of state authorities, local self-government bodies, and other legal entities and individuals (on a contractual basis).

The purpose of the training was to enhance participants’ professional knowledge in the following areas: current capabilities of platforms and tools using artificial intelligence to optimise work processes; legal and ethical considerations surrounding the Metaverse and the use of virtual reality and AI technologies; the development of skills related to the implementation of virtual reality and AI tools; and the practical application of large language models (LLMs) and AI tools for the creation of chatbots, visual content, video productions, and presentations within professional activities, with particular attention to legal and ethical implications.

The training programme was delivered by Dr Oleksii Kostenko, PhD in Law, Senior Researcher, and Head of the Laboratory for Immersive Technologies and Law at the State Scientific Institution Institute of Information, Security and Law of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine”.
