Strengthening the role of academic and research institutions in the processes of democratization of society, the possibility of deepening cooperation in this context with leading international institutions became the topics of a meeting of representatives of the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with an international expert on human rights, democratization and the rule of law of the Center for Judicial Co-operation of the European University Institute in Florence Dr. Marta Achler.
The meeting participants also discussed issues related to the involvement of international experts in conducting trainings of the Research Service for the Ukrainian MPs and employees of the Apparatus of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the adaptation of national legislation to the EU acquis.
