Within the cooperation framework between the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the European Parliamentary Research Service, an information session “EU policy on the EU Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) and Annual Budget” was held.
During the event, the following issues were discussed:
- adoption, adjustment, and revision of the EU Multiannual Financial Framework, as well as the role of the European Parliament in this process;
- procedures and current status of adoption of the 2025 EU budget;
- revision of the EU Multiannual Financial Framework for 2021-2027, considering the launched financial support instrument for Ukraine (Ukraine Facility) in the amount of 50 billion euros.
The discussion was attended by the Head of the Legislative Support Sector for Economic Modernization of the Research Service Svitlana Kuspliak and the Head of the Financial Policy and Budget Legislation Sector of the Research Service Olha Kosytsia.
