On November 22, 2024, within the framework of the short-term program "Approximation of Ukrainian legislation in the area of whistleblower protection to EU law: practical aspects for the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine", an offline training was held for the first time since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, with the possibility of online connection, which ensured accessibility for a wide range of listeners.

The speaker was Olha Kosytsia, Doctor of Law, Head of the Financial Policy and Budget Legislation Sector of the Economic Development and Financial Policy Department of the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

The event was held in a modernly equipped room of the Training Center of the Research Service. The participants had the opportunity to discuss key aspects of harmonizing Ukrainian legislation with European legislation in the area of whistleblower protection. Particular attention was paid to mechanisms for supporting whistleblowers, introducing effective channels for reporting violations and integrating best European practices in this area.

The event is an additional step in strengthening cooperation with European partners and deepening knowledge about European integration processes for lawmaking.
