On 25 March 2025, the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine hosted a special short-term training program ‘European Integration in the Time of War: Status, Problems, Challenges’ for the Members of Parliament of Ukraine, employees of the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, assistant consultants to the Members of Parliament of Ukraine, as well as representatives of state authorities, local self-government bodies and other legal entities and individuals (on a contractual basis).

The purpose of the training is to increase the participants’ awareness of: peculiarities of Ukraine's movement towards the EU and prospects of the European integration process in the war context; instruments of support of the EU states for Ukraine's European integration in the war context; application of recommendations for optimising and improving European integration processes in Ukraine in the war context; analysis of Ukrainian legislation for compliance with the EU law.

The program was conducted by Vyacheslav Shamrai, Doctor of Law, Associate Professor, Deputy Head of the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
