As part of the cooperation between the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Institute for Legal Studies (Budapest, Hungary), an educational webinar on EU Company Law was held.
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Balázs Horváthy, Research Fellow at the HUN-REN Centre for Social Sciences, Institute for Legal Studies (Budapest, Hungary), and Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences, Széchenyi István University (Győr, Hungary).
The presentation covered the following key topics:
-the fundamentals of EU law governing the establishment and operation of companies;
-the freedom of establishment and the right to carry out business activities within the EU internal market;
-legal mechanisms for the recognition of legal entities in cross-border contexts;
-specific EU company forms (SE, SCE, EEIG, EGTC) and their relevance;
-legislative harmonization: EU directives on corporate governance and digitalization.
The event served as a valuable platform for exchanging knowledge and best practices on integrating EU standards into Ukraine’s legal system in the context of European integration.
