Abstract. The Information note presents the results of the analysis of the legislation on certain types of social benefits provided to families with children with disabilities. The Information note presents the results of the analysis of the procedure for applying for a survivor's pension from among military personnel and persons whose pension provision is provided for by the Law of Ukraine «On pension provision for persons discharged from military service and certain other persons». The author defines the grounds and conditions for the right to a survivor's pension, which affect the specifics of the application procedure. Abstract. The informational reference is devoted to certain problems of legislative regulation of social protection of citizens affected by the Chornobyl disaster. A general overview of the provisions of Ukrainian legislation on the elimination of the consequences of the Chernobyl accident is provided.
