The Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in cooperation with the European parliamentary knowledge-sharing hub held an online meeting “Role of parliamentary scrutiny in the reconstruction of Ukraine". The event was attended by the Ukrainian MPs, representatives of the secretariats of the Verkhovna Rada committees and employees of the Verkhovna Rada Apparatus.

During the meeting, the issues of support of Ukraine by the European Investment Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, as well as the practice of parliamentary control on monetary policy were discussed.

Reports were made by:

- Kajus Hagelstam, Head of Economic Governance and Control of the European Monetary System of the European Parliament;

- Sven Roben, Head of the Ukrainian division of the European Investment Bank;

- Anastasia Harlan, Senior Credit Specialist of the European Investment Bank;

- Dimitar Bogov, Deputy Director, Leading Regional Economist in Eastern Europe and the Caucasus of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development;

- Drazhen Rakić, Department of Economic Governance and Analysis of the European Monetary System of the European Parliament;

- Mikael Osell, Chairman of the Secretariat of the Finance Committee of the Riksdag of Sweden.
