On January 21, 2026, the leadership of the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine met with a delegation of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Representative Office in Ukraine.
The parties discussed initiating cooperation between the Research Service and the OECD. The partnership aims to bolster the Parliament's analytical capacity and enhance evidence-based policy-making by integrating OECD standards and methodologies into legislative processes.
Special attention was paid to the potential participation of the Research Service in the OECD Global Parliamentary Network, a platform for exchanging best practices among parliamentary services. The parties also highlighted the role of the SIGMA initiative (a joint programme of the OECD and the European Union) in supporting public administration reforms and Ukraine’s European integration.
