Abstract. The Guide to Legislation on Changes in the Field of Education and Science during the Martial Law Regime analyses the laws adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine during this period. Particular attention is paid to the priority areas of legislative regulation in the areas of out-of-school and pre-school education, complete general secondary education, vocational education, professional higher education and higher education. The main directions of innovation activity in Ukraine under martial law are also highlighted.

Abstract. The Informational reference examines the issue of the legal status of prisoners of war in Ukraine in the context of the provisions of international humanitarian law and domestic legislation. It analyzes individual acts of international and national legislation devoted to this topic.

The need for legislative regulation of the prerequisites and procedure for the cancellation of the legal status of a prisoner of war and his release from captivity before the end of hostilities has been identified.

Abstract. The Review Dossier examines the problematic issues of bringing the provisions of procedural legislation in line with the Decision of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine dated 14 February 2024 No. 1-р(II)/2024 in the context of the draft law “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine in connection with the Decision of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine dated 14 February 2024 No. 1-р(II)/2024 on Guaranteeing the Protection of Human Rights and Freedoms under the Decision of the European Court of Human Rights” (No. 11508 dated 21.08.2024), as well as doctrinal, regulatory, law enforcement approaches and scientific and legal positions regarding the use of the procedure for reviewing court decisions on the grounds of a violation of the European Convention on Human Rights by the European Court of Human Rights in jurisdictional practice.

Abstract. The Parliamentary research analyses the foreign experience of legal regulation of vehicle parking in regard to the establishment of special parking spaces for drivers with small children, pregnant women and persons with disabilities. These and some other aspects are analysed on the example of certain EU Member States (Germany, Poland, France, Italy), as well as the United States of America, Canada and South Korea.

Abstract. The Review Dossier examines the issue of short-term departure of convicts, in particular those sentenced to life imprisonment, outside correctional and educational colonies for the purpose of visiting seriously ill close relatives and/or being present at the burial of close relatives. The focus is on: the inviolability of personal and family life; the right to respect for the human dignity of convicts; decisions of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, which address such a right and its content. Taking into account international standards, foreign experience of some states and best European practices, the provisions of the draft Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to Article 111 of the Criminal and Executive Code of Ukraine in connection with the Decision of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine dated December 20, 2023 No. 11-р(II)/2023” (No. 12127, dated October 16, 2024) were analyzed for its relevance and risks.

Abstract. The Scientific Concept presents the results of the analysis of the legislative regulation of the legal status of the parliamentary opposition in Ukraine. The main modern doctrinal approaches on the legal status of the parliamentary opposition are outlined. International standards for the legal regulation of the status of the parliamentary opposition are presented. Foreign and national experience in the legislative regulation of the legal status of the parliamentary opposition is analyzed. Proposals are developed to improve the regulation of the legal status of the parliamentary opposition in Ukraine.
