Getting to know the Lithuanian experience in preparing the Seimas for work after joining the EU

On November 8, 2024, within the cooperation framework between the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Research Unit of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, a webinar on "Preparation for the work of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania after accession to the EU" was held.

The purpose of the event was to get acquainted with the practical experience gained by Lithuanian colleagues in the process of adapting legislation and management processes to the requirements of the European Union.

Lecturer Loreta Raulinaitite, Head of the Translation Department of the Chancellery of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, spoke about the key challenges faced by the Lithuanian Parliament during accession to the EU, in particular regarding the adaptation of national legislation to European standards and ensuring high-quality translation of a significant amount of regulatory documents.
