Abstract. This briefing paper highlights the key aspects of the European sports model, which provides for the autonomy of organisations, a pyramidal management structure and the functioning of a single federation for each sport. The results of the analysis of the legislative regulation of sports activities on the example of Spain with regard to the integration of the European sports model are briefly presented.

Abstract. The Informational Reference provides a general description of the EU acquis on non-discrimination, equal opportunities in employment, social protection and working conditions. The list of EU legal acts that are basic for these areas is provided. The author focuses on the provisions of the European Pillar (Fundamentals) of Social Rights policy document. The main advantages of the common legal framework for social policy, as well as challenges and current trends in their development are identified. The author analyses the state of implementation of the EU acquis in the social sphere in the national legislation.
