Abstract. The Information Note is dedicated to the analysis of labor legislation in terms of acquiring the right to a parental leave until the child reaches the age of three. Attention is focused on the state of consideration of European standards of work-life balance of parents or guardians of a child in labor legislation. The author considers proposals for improving the legislative regulation of the procedure for granting parental leave for a child under the age of three if the child's mother is an individual entrepreneur.

Abstract. The Information note outlines certain issues related to improving the work-life balance by strengthening the guarantees of the right of working women and men to return to the same or equivalent position after parental leave on conditions no less favourable to them in the context of the Draft Law of Ukraine ‘On Amendments to the Labour Code of Ukraine on Strengthening Measures to Protect the Right to Work for Women and Men on Parental Leave’ (Registry No. 12074 of 27.09.2024).

Abstract. The information Note analyzes the provisions of the legislation on compulsory state social insurance in terms of ensuring the right of the family and each person who had the right to receive maintenance from the victim to receive one-time insurance payments in the event of the victim's death as a result of an industrial accident. The article also considers proposals for improving the legal regulation of the procedure for awarding one-time insurance payments in case of death of an injured person as a result of an industrial accident.
