On August 16–17, employees of the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (Yurii Danyliuk, Olena Chala, Yuliia Nechyporenko) took part in an off-site practical session of the certified program "School of Rulemaking 2024", which is implemented by the NaUKMA Faculty of Law in cooperation with the USAID Rada: Next Generation Program and with the support of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

The main attention of the event’s participants was focused on the following issues:

- non-positivist legal understanding and its importance for lawmaking;

 -parliamentary control;

- linguistic and stylistic features of rulemaking in English and Ukrainian;

- general principles of documenting the parliamentary procedure;

- codification as part of the rulemaking process.

Professors of the NaUKMA Law Faculty as well as employees of the Apparatus of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and secretariats of parliamentary committees joined the visiting session.
