At the invitation of the Parliament of the Republic of Austria (Österreichisches Parlament), the representative of the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Oleksandr Kolosov, underwent an internship in the Parliament of Austria from 18 to 20 November 2024 in Vienna and presented the activities of the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the employees of the Parliamentary Directorate (Die Parlamentsdirektion). 

During the internship, several thematic meetings were held with Austrian colleagues, in particular with:

- Christophe Conrat, Head of the Division for Research and Support in Parliamentary Matters;

- Katarina Stourzh, Head of the Division of for Cooperation;

- Christoph Rattinger, Deputy Head of the Division for Public Law and Legislation;

- David Liebig, Deputy Head of Division for European Union Affairs;

- Estelle Collonnier, Deputy Head of the Division for Parliamentary Cooperation.

The internship included participation in lectures, workshops, trainings, and other events aimed at sharing knowledge and experience. It was emphasized the issue of parliamentary cooperation with the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. It became possible to acquire valuable insight into the work of the Legal, Legislative and Research Service of the Parliamentary Directorate (Der Rechts-, Legislativ- und Wissenschaftlichen Dienst (RLW) der Parlamentsdirektion), which supports the activities of the National Council (Der Nationalrat), the Federal Council (Der Bundesrat) and the Parliamentary Directorate by providing legal, economic and political science expertise, as well as providing targeted access to information databases.
