Abstract. The overview dossier deals with the issues of legislative regulation of the participation forms of civil society organizations in supporting combatants. The essence of the concepts of “community support”, “instruments of community support” and their connection to the system of state support for war veterans have been studied. Attention was paid to areas of improvement of legislation regarding forms of participation of civil society organizations in supporting war veterans in the post-war period. The legislation of foreign states regarding societal support of veterans (demobilized combatants) has been analyzed.

Abstract. The problems of legislative support of the current stage of local self-government reform in Ukraine are investigated. The doctrinal issues of decentralization of power and municipal reform, international standards of organization and functioning of local self-government and Ukraine’s obligations in this area, foreign experience of local self-government reforms and peculiarities of the legal status of territorial communities in foreign countries are considered. Emphasis is placed on the need to continue the reform of local self-government, to adjust its individual miscalculations, and to work out plans for the post-war restoration of normal life throughout Ukraine, in all territorial communities, and to create the proper legal basis for the functioning of local self-government in the current period and in the future.

Abstract. The practice of conducting settlement operations with and without registrars of settlement operations and/or software registrars of settlement operations, settlement books, and books of account for settlement operations in some foreign countries was summarized in the analytical note; general rules of cash discipline, peculiarities of legislative requirements related to trade on the green market are revealed.
The experience of countries where the application of registrars of settlement operations and/or software registrars of settlement operations is mandatory, examples of certain mechanisms for exempting business entities from the application of registrars of settlement operations and/or software registrars of settlement operations, settlement books, and books of account for settlement operations was investigated.

Abstract. Comparative analysis of the legislation of foreign countries on examination by parliamentary standing committees of citizens' appeals was carried out in the analytical note. To answer the questions, the legislation of seven countries was studied: Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Denmark, Georgia and Germany. The conducted analysis showed that all states consider the appeal to the parliament as a constitutional right. Most states single out petitions among the variety of forms of citizens' appeals. In some parliaments, a permanent committee is founded to consider petitions and other appeals from citizens. The procedure for consideration of appeals (petitions) from citizens by parliamentary committees is usually identical to the general procedure for consideration by parliamentary committees of issues that are within their scope of authority.

Abstract. The analytical note on issues of comparative legislation presents the results of the analysis of the main principles of legislative regulation in the field of freedom of speech and professional activities of journalists in Ukraine and in the member states of the European Union: Lithuania, Poland and Austria, which are characterized by different degrees of democracy. Acts of the leading institutions of the EU, as well as legislative acts, documentary materials in English and other languages related to the protection and standards of freedom of speech and ensuring the professional activities of journalists in the aforementioned states have been analyzed.
